Meet Paragon Racing
Paragon Racing is a dedicated STEM Racing team made up of six motivated and talented students. Their name reflects their ambition to become a true paragon, an example of excellence, precision and innovation. They aim to set the benchmark for what a STEM Racing team can achieve, both on and off the track.
The team has also taken the initiative to build their own website and establish a presence on LinkedIn, demonstrating their professionalism, commitment and understanding of how to communicate their journey beyond the track.

STEM Racing is a national competition backed by Formula 1
While one of the headline challenges is to design and build the fastest car over a 20 metre straight track, the competition is about far more than speed. The real objective is to develop the strongest all-around team, not just the fastest car.
Although there are awards for speed, the majority of judging is based on the team’s overall performance. This includes two portfolios, a verbal presentation, and the pit display, where teams are assessed across three key areas: Engineering, Project Management, and Enterprise.

M &M already sponsor the Niche Vehicle Networkand provide product liability insurance to hundreds of small businesses as they grow. This support helps them secure investment and contracts by giving partners confidence that there is a strong financial and legal backstop in place should anything go wrong.
We have been looking for the right opportunity to support younger people with an interest in engineering, whether as a hobby or a future career. That opportunity turned out to be right on our doorstep at Cheam High School.
We are therefore delighted to sponsor Paragon Racing’s 2026 entry into the STEM Racing UK National Finals. This marks the start of a longer-term collaboration, where we will provide financial support to the team alongside ongoing mentoring for the students.
